Who you're booking with

Your booking and payment contract for this retreat is with New Eden B.V., the Dutch company that owns and operates the New Eden venue and acts as the registered agent for this event. New Eden B.V. provides the venue, rooms, and food, processes your payment, and issues your Dutch VAT invoice (Sparjeburd 2, 8409 CK Hemrik, the Netherlands, KvK 64284328, BTW NL855599261B01).

The retreat programme, teaching, and facilitation are provided by Feminine Rising (facilitator Sumir Brown), 2239 11th Street, Baker City, OR 97814, USA.

Short version: Feminine Rising runs the retreat; your contract for booking and payment is with New Eden B.V., which hosts it and handles the paperwork.

1. Price & what's included

• €1,700 early bird (limited availability) or €2,300 full, for a shared/twin room.
• A single room is an optional upgrade of €300 (€50 per night).
• Your price is all-inclusive: the full six-day retreat, all meals, and your accommodation, plus Dutch VAT and the local tourist tax.

Not included: travel to and from New Eden, personal expenses, and anything added separately.

2. Payment

• Pay in full at booking, or pay a deposit and spread the balance over a payment plan.
• All tuition must be completed by 25 December 2026, ahead of the retreat.
• Payment is collected by New Eden B.V. on behalf of Feminine Rising. Invoices are issued by New Eden B.V. and are Dutch-VAT compliant.

3. Cancellations & refunds

If you need to cancel, the refund depends on how far ahead of the retreat you let us know:

Inside the no-refund window we may still offer, at our discretion, a transferable credit valid for 12 months toward a future Feminine Rising event or programme. This is a goodwill gesture, not a contractual entitlement. Places are genuinely hard to re-fill close to the date and the costs are already committed, so travel insurance is strongly recommended.

To cancel, write to [email protected] and we will confirm in writing.

Right of withdrawal: because this retreat is a leisure activity provided on specific dates, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases (Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code) does not apply. The cancellation terms above are your cancellation rights.

4. Transferring your place

If you can't come, you can pass your place to another woman, subject to two small conditions:

• She meets the retreat's participation criteria.
• The transfer is finalised at least 7 days before the retreat.

Any money changing hands between you and the new participant is between the two of you; we don't process re-payment for transfers.

5. Participation & personal responsibility

• This is a women-only retreat.
• The work is embodied and can be emotionally deep. Participation in any given moment is always voluntary, so you are free to step back from anything at any time.
• You are responsible for your own physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing during and after the retreat.
• It is a drug- and alcohol-free retreat. Please arrive sober and stay sober for the duration.
• If anyone's conduct is unsafe or disruptive, we may ask them to pause involvement or leave, without refund.

6. If something outside anyone's control happens

If the retreat has to be moved, rescheduled, or cancelled because of something truly beyond our control (serious illness, weather events, government restrictions, damage to the venue, and so on), we will offer you, at our discretion, a credit toward a future Feminine Rising event, a reschedule, or a partial refund.

We can't reimburse travel, accommodation, or other personal costs in these cases, which is the single biggest reason we recommend good travel insurance.

7. Liability & governing law

• Because the retreat happens in the Netherlands and payment is processed by New Eden B.V., these terms are governed by Dutch law, with Leeuwarden as the court of jurisdiction. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
• This retreat is educational and experiential. It is not therapy, clinical treatment, or a substitute for medical care.
• By booking, you release Feminine Rising, New Eden B.V., and the facilitation team from liability for anything arising from your participation, except in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

If something isn't right, please tell us first and we'll do our best to put it right. We respond within 5 business days.

If we can't resolve a complaint together, these terms are governed by Dutch law and a dispute may be brought before the competent court in Leeuwarden. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
