In this week's video, I share an important ingredient to men's work that is often misunderstood: The Beast.

Sometimes, as we expand into new emotional-energetic ranges, we need to delve into the shadows - the parts of us that we've exiled and made wrong, and to give ourselves permission to play safely with energies that our culture has labeled toxic.

It's critical to access these parts (for both men and women) because to deny our primal life force is to shut down not only our capacity for full spectrum and embodied love, but also for creativity, penetrating life with our gifts and the capacity to say 'no'.

When we don't bring our shadowy underworld above ground, we will Iive out these energies in harmful unconscious ways, perpetuating the cycle of abuse and violation and permeates our culture.

Lived through the heart though, this dark energy liberates the soul and brings a depth into intimacy that is essential for relationships to flourish.

The video documentary above was filmed at a recent Accelerated Awakening Retreat for Men & Women, where we do men's work and women's work concurrently during the same week at New Eden.

Starting with separate men and women's spaces, gradually during the week, the men and women come together for mutual practice and mixed space circles and the results are incredible.

If you're serious about your own healing journey and are looking for ways to make your relationships thrive, then brotherhood and sisterhood is a critical ingredient that is often missing.
